Disney Flooring Project: The NBA Experience

If you are a fan of the game of basketball or of the NBA in particular, Disney Springs’ all-new, NBA Experience is designed just for you. The two-story facility houses activities such as shooting, dribbling, and even dunking challenges, as well as an in-game experience that will make you feel like a true NBA superstar.

The Demands of the Project: Matching Design With Performance

As the primary flooring provider for the project, our team was brought in, in the summer of 2018 to provide all facility flooring except for the court’s wood floor. Products installed consisted of ceramic, LVT, carpet tile, broadloom, wall carpet, rubber, and vinyl sports flooring.

Project demands included challenging and compressed schedules, constant design changes throughout the project, and multiple patterns needing to be cut out of the vinyl design.

To overcome these challenges, we had onsite job management each and every day. We worked hand in hand with the general contractor, design team, and other subcontractors to coordinate and ensure a successful install. We also utilized our resources and our own showroom to help Disney choose products that could perform and withstand all of the design needs.
