Congratulations to Marc Michon, new account manager for Spectra’s Seattle location, who recently completed his first marathon on September 24, 2017.

The Bellingham Bay Marathon, located in Bellingham, Washington, is an annual event that presents its participants with a testing 26.2-mile run that covers a total elevation gain of approximately 700 feet.

With only four and a half months of training and three half marathons under his belt, Marc was able to successfully complete the course in an impressive time of 3 hours, 56 minutes, and 25 seconds — exceeding his own expectations.

“Coming into the race, I was a little nervous,” Marc said. I just wanted to complete the course and do so within 4 hours if at all possible.

When asked about potentially running another marathon, Marc responded, “one and done” with a laugh. “It was an honor to be able to run in the Bellingham Bay Marathon, and I am happy to be able to check it off my bucket list.”
