Ikea, the hot retail home furnishings retailer opened their first Texas location in Frisco, just north of Dallas. With this exciting announcement came a very aggressive and challenging construction schedule and grand opening.

For Walt Kurtz and Spectra- Dallas came a commitment to complete our flooring scope within the time permitted knowing that other trades would be working in the same areas trying to achieve the same goal. The biggest challenge was met “head on” in dealing with the new concrete substrate and its curing. With all the common moisture/curing conditions being present in new construction, we were able to overcome these challenges installing over 7300 SY of patterned heat welded linoleum flooring in addition to the required carpet and cork flooring.

Dave & Busters World Headquarters is based in Dallas Texas. They have 43 locations world wide and are known for its combination of amazing food and midway bursting with games. With so many locations, Dave & Busters needs a flooring contractor that can service in a variety of markets throughout the country.

Margaret Gerrity with the Spectra Dallas office has been servicing Dave & Busters flooring needs for 11 years. Since Spectra Contract Flooring has locations in many markets, Margaret is able to utilize Spectra’s talented group of installers from almost any part of the country.

Dave & Busters most recent location to open is in Tempe Arizona. Margaret worked closely with Terry Newman and John Lightfoot from the Spectra office in Phoenix to successfully complete the carpet installation on time. This is just one of several different locations that Spectra have serviced Dave & Busters.

Over the years Margaret has worked very close with Dave & Busters facilities department by helping design numerous custom pattern carpets to meet the customers aesthetic and performance needs. Multiple types of carpets are provided, even including a wall carpet. Another Dave & Busters requirement is the flexibility for immediate service. Spectra meets their expectations by keeping inventory available and managing this material based on quarterly forecasts.

Beauty Brands retail stores offer a comprehensive package of salon services, day spa and salon- exclusive retail products under one roof. Started in 1995, the company has expanded to 42 locations nationwide with continuing plans for additional growth in the coming year.

Spectra Contract Flooring, led by Margaret Gerrity, has been supplying flooring products to Beauty Brands since the opening of their flagship store over 10 years ago. Each store location uses a custom carpet tile, polished and matte porcelain tile, ceramic tile and a specialty vinyl plank. The demanding schedule of retail openings has been successfully executed over the years by Margaret and her team utilizing a special retail program of logistics planning and national installation coordination.
